Beginner's Fencing Camp
for Kids

Unleash your inner Musketeer: learn the fundamentals of the fast-growing Olympic sport of fencing - and make friends while doing it! This week long camp is appropriate for beginner fencers between the ages of 7-14. We provide all equipment.

Session 1: Aug 12-16, 2024

Session 2: Aug 26-30, 2024

9am-3pm daily (drop off from 8:30am)

Extended day until 5:30pm available

Camp Details

Learn the fundamentals of épée fencing under the guidance of our experienced coaches! Daily activities will typically include:

  • Instruction in foundational fencing techniques

  • Footwork skill sessions

  • Agility games

  • Organized duels / bouts

 

Our safe and supportive environment helps campers build confidence, sportsmanship, and new friendships. If weather permits, we may walk to nearby Danehy Park for some sessions, games or for lunch.

What to Bring

We provide all fencing equipment. Beyond that campers should come with:

  • Water bottle

  • Lunch and a snack (we have an on-premise refrigerator and microwave)

  • Comfortable athletic clothes:

    • T-shirt, shorts and long pants such as sweat pants or athletic warmups (pants are required for safety reasons)

  • Socks and athletic shoes:

    • Shoes should be clean, closed-toe, with laces and non-marking soles (slip ons and sandals do not provide sufficient support for fencing)

Pricing

  • Flexible participation options are available for each Session. We do require a minimum of 3 days.

    • Full, 5-day camp - $600

    • 4-day camp - $540

    • 3-day camp - $450

  • Camp runs from 9am - 3pm. Drop off starts at 8:30am and we request prompt pick-up. 

    • Late pick-up until 5:30pm is available for $20 per day

  • We offer a sibling discount of 10% ​

Enrollment and Cancellation Policies

  • Online enrollment closes on July 5, 2024 - after that, contact us at info@leofencingclub.com to inquire/enroll
     

  • If a session does not meet the minimum number of participants by the close of online enrollment and we need to cancel it, we will notify you promptly by email. We are happy to refund your payment if another session does not work for your schedule.
    ​

  • You may cancel your enrollment online up to 3 weeks prior to the session start date for a full refund, less a $100 administrative fee.
     

  • Up to 1 week prior to the session start date, we will not issue a refund, but are happy to apply 50% of your payment to a future camp. Please contact us directly at info@leofencingclub.com in this situation.
     

  • There are no refunds for missed camp days.
