Learn to Fence

Enter the world of fencing

Start your child's fencing adventure with our 4-week Learn to Fence program. Classes meet once per week and introduce kids to the thrilling Olympic sport of épée fencing.

Kids learn the fundamentals, including the rules, weapon handling, footwork, and basic blade techniques. Plus, they'll make new friends while exploring this exciting sport!

We provide all the necessary equipment—just have your child come ready to learn!

After completing the program and receiving an evaluation from our coaches, youth fencers can progress to the En Garde or Allez programs.

En Garde (<12) | Allez (12+)

Unleash your inner fencer

Our En Garde and Allez programs cater to young fencers who have completed our Learn to Fence program or a similar one. Some fence for fun, while others are focused on competition.

Group classes are organized by age and emphasize épée skills, targeting strategies, and bout dynamics. Fencers can attend up to 2 hour-long classes weekly. Coaches assist in setting fencing goals and regularly assess progression and readiness for the next level.

Kids can use club equipment during class, and a USA Fencing membership is needed (non-competitive or competitive). No annual commitment is required.

Escrime

Sharpen your skills

Our Escrime program is for youth fencers who have progressed beyond our En Garde or Allez program. Fencers train in up to 3 90-minute classes weekly, focusing on advanced footwork, conditioning, complex techniques and bouting.

Coaches assist each fencer in setting goals and track skills progression to support their fencing journey. Escrime requires a club membership. Fencers gain access to Open Fencing, strip coaching at local events, and priority access to competitive camps/clinics.

Equipment and a USA Fencing membership is required.

Fleche

Master the duel

Fleche is dedicated to the needs of advanced competitive fencers, and enrollment requires coach assessment.

This program emphasizes specialized tactics and adaptive techniques, strategic mindset, and psychological preparation for bouts. Targeted conditioning and endurance training prepare our athletes for high-level national or international competition.

Fencers attend three 2-hour classes weekly. Fleche requires a club membership. Fencers gain access to Open Fencing, strip coaching at local events, and priority access to competitive camps/clinics. Equipment and a competitive USA Fencing membership is required.
